“OK Property but NO ELEVATOR”

  , Rochester
This site is an older Ramada and located on a frontage road which makes finding it using a GPS a little more challenging. First, there isn't an elevator to the second floor. The hallways are long from the staircase so it makes it a challenge to get luggage to the room. Had I realized the lack of an elevator, I would have requested a first floor room.In addition, the cooling system functioned marginally. I had the room set on Hi Cool with the fan at the top level and it barely changed the room temperature. It was a good thing the outdoor temperatures were moderate (upper 70's) so excessive cooling wasn't required. Also the draperies hang directly over the heating/cooling unit so I think much of the cool air ended up behind the drapes. I intended to use the pool but the rest rooms in the pool area were out of order.I also had trouble with the electrical outlet in the bathroom area. The sockets were so loose that the connector for my hair appliances wouldn't stay plugged in. Fortunately I had a power strip in my vehicle that I could plug in and then plug my appliances to the strip.Overall, it's an ok place. The bed was great and the place was quiet. It served my purpose for a one night stay.
