We are grateful for this reviewers feedback. This inspires us to improve our operations. Our manager did address this incident with the reviewer. He explained that his two housekeepers saw our guests leave and thought they had checked out. When they checked the room, they found no luggage or any personal items. They saw two dollars and change on the desk and mistakenly thought this was left behind as a gratuity. Later, when our guests returned to the room, they apologized and offered to return the money but the couple declined. When the guests talked to our manager, he also apologized and explained the mistake and also offered to send them the money. The guests again declined and did not want us to penalize the housekeepers. It was an unfortunate assumption on the part of our staff, and for that I am truly sorry. We have since set up ways to avoid this kind of mistake. « hide
