“Not what I expect from Ramada or Wyndham”

  , Spokane Valley
Summarily, this Ramada was unsecure and run-down. As you first walk into the lobby, it appears decent, with a big fireplace and high ceiling. When I asked about the fitness center, I was told that there is one, but all the machines were broken. Then the front desk tells us that our room is in a different building at the other end of the parking lot. As we approach the other building, it looks like an old apartment building. The main entrance is covered with cardboard secured by purple duct tape. The entry way and hallway are dim and have an old-carpet smell. Our unit was on the first floor, which was disturbing because there was a sliding glass door from the living room that leads directly to a small grass area and the parking lot. The only locking mechanism on the sliding glass door is the normal little lock that can easily be broken. The layout resembles a small furnished 2-bedroom, 1-bath apartment, complete with a kitchen and hall closet. The kitchen appliances and living room furniture were run-down. There were burn-marks on the arm of the couch in the living room. The bathroom had stains in the toilet and tub. If we had to stay more than one night, I would have left immediately. I thought choosing a Wyndham hotel would guarantee at least some minimum standard, but that was not the case at all at this Ramada. I probably would have gotten a cleaner room at the Motel 6 for less than what I paid for this room.
