“Not as nice as expected”

  , Jamestown
The hotel was reasonable clean and the staff very friendly. What the net doesn't tell you is that the indoor pool is in a separate building, across the street. Not great when it's in the 30's outside and you have to go across a street to swim. (Needless to say, the very reason I chose this hotel was the indoor pool and I didn't get to use it!) The breakfast was great. The bed was hard as a rock and I did not sleep well at all. (Not sure why hotels find it necessary to purchase rock hard mattresses!). When I inquired about an ice machine, I was told if the one on the second floor wasn't working I'd have to "try the one on the third floor". The person at the front desk acted like non-funcioning ice machines must be a way of life there.
