“You get what you pay for”

This Ramada was running a special anf I decided to check it out and reserve a room. Afterall, I was in Norfolk, VA on business and it was close to the meeting place. The rate and the name were the initial attraction. However, the staff here have NO IDEA what customer service is all about. The come across as if the sign out front and television commericials will bring the customers in so they don't have to bother with common courtesy. The oom was clean. There was a broken light they obviously had rigged so it could not be used and it was next to the desk and guess what, I neede the light. When I took a shower, I was greeted with a huge cold blast of water in my face and after 20 minutes, I still had nothing but cold water--so I took a cold shower and off to my meeting. When I arrived back to my room, at 10am, checkout is at 12pm, the bed was stripped and my lunch had been disposed of. I understood the mistake by housekeeping and my review would have been better if MANAGEMENT (lol) actually took the time to give a hoot about my complaint. They did not. I was kept waiting for over half an hour and the manger still could not get off the phone long enough to take care of my issue. I simply was not important enough to warrant service. Only after informing the receptionist of my intent on staying until this problem was resolved, did she start pursuing the manager. After several half-hearted attempts to pacify me instead of satisfying me did the agree to help me. This was a terrible experience and I would not recommend this place to anyone.
