“Hotel from Hell”

The Hotel was fine as regards to physical amenities. The desk clerk was totally oblivious when we were bringing our luggage in we walked in with 3 in our party and onother couple of Ladies. As we entered my wife was walking a few steps behind me as I was opening the left hand door.There was a permanent curl in the all weather carpet and my wife caught her toe in the curl of the carpet and fell down fortunately she fell partially on my travel bag. I hesitate to think if she had hit her head on the floor. One of the individuals that was with us pulled the carpet away from the front of the door so no one else would fall.I made sure my wife was alright and bystanders helped her up as well. I immediately went to the front desk that was well within sight and sound of all the commotion. The manager let on like he did not see or hear anything. I explained what happened and he denied any responsibility on the part of the hotel as they were not responsible if a guest had curled the carpet up. The curl was a permanent curl about 3" from the end.I asked if we could have a late check out and he said that would not be possible. I had meetings until 1:00 o'clock and my wife as you can imagine was not feeling well so I made other arraingments for her to have a place to lie down. I used to own a Hotel in Las Vegas and I understand P.R. I am not a person who tries to sue over stupidty. There is more to the story but I do not have any interest in pursuing it further but I would suggest your Manager needs some training.
