“Not too bad for the price”

  , York
My room was ok, the bed was comfortable and clean. The TV had terrible reception and only some of the channels worked. I could clearly hear noise from outside the door. The bathroom looked very nice and modern, but when I had a shower the whole room filled up with about 2 inches of water! It didn't dry out properly so I got wet feet the next morning when I went back in. I think the drains need to be more efficient. My meal in the hotel was disappointing - the ravioli starter was tasteless and had no sauce so was just like 3 blocks of dry pasta. I had the vegetarian curry main course, and it was exactly the same as a Wetherspoons curry but cost £15. The cheese platter was nice though, and my glass of wine was lovely. Breakfast was rubbish - very little choice and no table service for drinks etc. It should be much cheaper if you are going to basically have to make your own breakfast and serve it. Overall, I'd say this hotel is quite cheap for MK and the rooms are fine, but don't eat at the hotel.
