“The room was lovely and recently refurbished. However there...”

The room was lovely and recently refurbished. However there was no room cleaning done on our two day stay. Bearing in mind we have a baby there were nappies that needed disposing. Luckily we bought our own plastic bags to seal the contents. The breakfast was somewhat of a mystery and quite frankly not up to international standards. On the first day the staff seemed overwhelmed by the number of guests and took 30 minutes to cook some boiled eggs as none were available. We chose to sit outside and relax with a coffee and a beer but were constantly plagued by beggars and whilst we were understanding of their plight (most being of Syrian origin) and gave them money, more could have been done by the hotel to discourage them. The price for drinks was frankly extortionate for the rating of the hotel. On a positive note the location was great for local shopping with many discounts and street traders nearby and some very friendly and affordable restaurants
