“What you would expect for $60 a night....”

When I called to book this trip I was asked to hold for 20 mins. The rep picked up and as I started to ask about booking he put me on hold again for 20 mins. After (I kid you not) an hour and a half and no discussion of dates I told the rep that if I got put on hold one more time I would call another hotel. I have no idea why I put up with that and still booked the trip. I asked the rep to confirm the details of the shuttle service which was a huge selling point for my group. Upon arrival the rates had gone up over 5X what I was told. I had only booked a few weeks before and the person at the front desk said that the person should have known better than to say that and it was impossible for them to change the shuttle details on their websites. Once I checked into my room there was a horrible smell... Half the carpet was soaked and the tub was overflowing with dirty water. However, I was pleasently surprised to not see a body in the tub with the way this trip was going. The other couple in our party had to go back to the front desk 3 times before their room keys would work. Once we got settled into a new room things got a little less crazy. Other than having the don't disturb sign out and being woken up at 10am by the maid when checkout isn't until noon. But at the end of the day... I paid $60 for a room and you get what you pay for.
