“Not the happiest place”

Be advised that there are two buildings at this property. Front desk staff does not make you aware of this when checking you in. So, you head towards the lobby elevators, (what most people would do) head upstairs to your floor, and great........, you can not find your room. Housekeepers must see this all day long. The housekeeper was helpful in explaining that our room was in the "other" building and even told us how to get to the elevators for that building. This is something that should be pointed out to guests at check-in. (FYI the main building has interior corridors. The "other," seems like an older building has exterior breezeway type of corridors.) It wasn't just me that did not get directions to our room. Others traveling in our group were not told how to get to their rooms either. In the elevators it was a topic of conversation amongst those headed up with luggae in tow. REALLY, it doesn't take that much time to direct guests to their rooms. Instead you get unhappy people. The room appeared to be clean and tidy, hats off to housekeeping. However, after checking in and heading out for the evening, we came back climbed in bed. In the morning we awoke to an army of ants sharing our room. We were only there for one night so the issue was not resolved for us. Continental breakfast- consisted of oranges and bananas, plain bagel or plain bread, that could be toasted with cream cheese and two choices of jelly. Orange juice, coffee, milk and some cold cereal. I should add the positive. The view- from the room was lovely, right over a large lake. The bed- comforable. Location- great if you are going to Universal Studios. International Drive can be a congested mess at times. This property is at the north end near Universal Studios. It was a quick hassle free drive over to Universal Studios.
