“Great for short-stays, not so much for extended stays”

  , Leavenworth
I went into this hotel thinking the worst, but was pleasantly surprised. Like I said in the title, it would be great for short-stays. It was clean, well maintained, and the staff is just as friendly as can be. They were super accommodating as much as they could be. There were alot of good things about this hotel, but there were some things that I did not care for. The breakfast was good, but it was the same thing every day for the duration of the trip: A meat of some kind, biscuits, powdered eggs, sausage gravy, and cinnamon rolls. The meat rotated between little smokies rolled in dough, maple flavored sausage taquitos, sausage patties, or very very thin cut bacon. Aside from that, there was no variety at all. For a short-term stay, this would be great, but for more than a week, it got really old, really quick. On the flip side, the front desk has cookies available pretty much all the time. The pecan/coconut ones are highly addictive. The room itself was clean, except for the carpet. When I'm in the room, I don't care to wear shoes or socks. I don't at home, so why do it in my hotel room. I found at the end of every evening, before I would get in bed, I would have to wipe the bottoms of my feet off with a washcloth, and it ALWAYS came out dark and dirty. The linens were always clean and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The air conditioner had a hard time pulling the humidity off the air unless it was turned down to 65 degrees. This, in turn, made the room very cold. It was very nice to get a smile from the front desk person every time I would walk by. They were ALWAYS extremely helpful and friendly.Overall, it was a nice hotel. Not the best I've ever stayed in, but by far not the worst.
