“Sad it had to be a one star!”

  , Collierville
Stayed there Oct 16 and 17th nights there. Seemed to be a decenty place for the price and had no complaints at all till the night of the 17th when came back to the room at 9:30PM and my door was not pulled closed. Not thinking I just went into the room and looked around.....housekeeping had been there. I couldnt tell anything had been moved. I was at the very end of the hall and it was dim lighting so it made it all the more creepy. I went back downstairs and told the clerk what I found. I knew he couldnt do anything about it that time of night but he said the manager would be made aware of it. He said thye would look at the video tape to see what happened. So I went back up to the room and my room key card would not work. So back downstairs I went. Got my new key card and went back up to the room. It just felt unsafe and my husband wanted me to call the local police to report the incident. I didn't but felt like I had been violated and was not safe there. I looked at my suitcase and it had been unzipped because I always close it and make things in a particular position so will know if had been moved. What made this so bad is that I have difficulty walking and use a cane for assistance. The next morning when I checked out I relayed the story to them and ws just told the manager would be calling me. The manager did call me a while later and was driving on down to my destination. She apologized and offered me a free night next time I was in town. (Didnt give me her name again so I could recall it). But she spent most of her time saying this never happens and that the housekeeping staff was short due to illness. She reported she had been up and down the halls all day and knew nothing was taken. The words were just very empty and full of excuses. I wish I had asked for a refund but it is over and I will not stay at another Ramada Inn again. And my membership with Wyndham will be tossed.
