“I have never been so insulted!”

The rooms had recently been remodeled and looked nice. The rooms were relatively clean but needed to be shampooed. My children's feet were dark gray from walking on the floor. As soon as I noticed, they wore shoes the rest of the time.The absolute worst was the customer service. Our air conditioning unit did not work properly. The unit would cycle off after 10 minutes and the room was still around 80 and stuffy. After an hour of this we called the front desk. The housekeeping staff member they sent up rudely explained it was in fine working order and they would not switch our room because all other 80 rooms were the same. The front desk worker told me he agreed with the housekeeper and there was nothing he could do. After talking with other guests I learned their rooms were fine. It was now 11 p.m. And we were unable to find another room at a different hotel so I demanded to be switched to a new room. The air conditioning worked fine in the new room. I have never had my intelligence insulted by hotel staff before! This was ridiculous!! Maybe that is why they were the only hotel in town with rooms open.
