Overall, the stay at this hotel served its purpose. It is very affordable, value-oriented and provides a basic nights stay with a few perks. Though it was the only major name brand hotel in this particular area, it was conveniently located to family, restaurants, minutes from downtown. There was often early morning noise coming from outside the hotel - particularly from a neighboring cement plant and roadside parking against the property. It left us wondering which was there first - hotel or cement plant? Perhaps more landscaping and/or an exterior wall/fence could help the situation.The pool/hot tub area seemed to need some cleaning and attention, There were hair clips on the floor of the area, the sides of the hot tub felt slimey, pool water was cold and hot tub water lukewarm. The complimentary continental breakfast was appreciated but the amount/replenishment of items (especially hot foods) was inconsistent from day to day. Maybe have employees specifically dedicated to quality assurance at the pool and breakfast.The friendliness of the employees at this hotel really made the stay worthwhile. Though everyone seemed to keep busy, they made sure guests felt comfortable with smiles and constant "hellos" in passing. Check in and check out went very smoothly. Kudos, in particular, to Josh who quickly checked us in and then came to the rescue with a battery replacement for a chirping smoke detector in our room.All in all, a good stay. Thanks!
