“Dirty Carpet ~ Broken Door”

  , Minneapolis
I was traveling for work and had to stay an extra day and was on a bit of a budget. If I would have known that this place was only slightly more comfortable than sleeping in my car I think I would have opted for my car. The carpet was stained and dirty. The room smelled sour. Worst of all the door was broken, you had to lean on it to get it to shut, and then the latch for the deadbolt was sheered off. I checked in at nearly midnight - and figured for a few hours sleep it would be fine. I didn't even bother taking off my work clothes because the sheets and the bed weren't in the best of conditions. The only decent thing about this hotel was that the staff were friendly. The continental breakfast area was full of flies - I grabbed an apple and a container of yogurt and called it good. I'm not sure how the rest of the people in there could stand to be there with all of the flies buzzing around.Worst hotel experience I've ever had.
