“the hotel was dirty. hall carpet was stained and filthy...”

the hotel was dirty. hall carpet was stained and filthy. walls were dinged up and needed repair. rooms were ok at best, with mysterious stains on the chair and carpet. the continental breakfast was in a room that was unheated, and a small space heater was being used to try to warm the space. A few bruised apples, one banana and coffee don't qualify as a continental breakfast to me. the card reader at the front desk wasn't working, so we had to withdraw money at the lobby ATM (with a $2.00 fee) to pay for the room. the hotel was proud to announce the new tv sets and cable options, but none of the channels came in well - they were fuzzy and images were flickering on screen. i've never written a poor review, but this hotel was so below par that I felt it necessary.
