“Great staff”

  , Creston
Comfortable as could be expected. I am chemically sensitive and the staff were able to find a room that had not been used quite as recently so the toxic chemical residue was much less than I expected and I awoke with NO HEADACHE! I used to always ask for an ozone machine, which will work very well if left to run for about 6 hours in the room before I arrive. Hotels would not bother to set them in place until I arrived, if they owned one, or the machine was broken (got dropped by staff), and they don't know they are broken, because the fan still blows and makes a noise, so they think it is working. Unfortunately, these do not produce ozone, and with only the fan blowing it effectively stirs up the poisons without removing them. Your hallway getting off the elevator stunk badly of some kind of common perfume that is sprayed in hotels, and I was worried, but there was another doorway to the hall leading to my room, and the hallway beyond that door smelled only a little musty (MUCH preferred) as it had not gotten hit recently with whatever spray bomb had been set off at the elevator entrance. My room was only slightly repugnant, an underlying scent that had a bit of a chance to dissipate over the time since it had been doused, and I do look forward to staying there again if I can again find a room that is as safe. It was MUCH better than most. I have only experienced a few hotels in my life which did not bother me very much, and this was one of them. Of the others, there was one which was reserved for the OWNER of the hotel who never came, and another which was next to the prime minister suite in the Toronto double tree, and had a totally different ventilation system from the rest of the building, as it had at one time been a top floor bar. A third place I found safe was down town in Kelowna which had just put in wooden floors. Unfortunately, they had used laminate which DOES off-gas badly, but I have discovered that most of the toxic chemicals that are not cleaned up in hotels come from trying to camouflage the odors in carpets, which never can get clean, so they just keep spraying the strong masking odors. Anyway, even though it did take me hours to get to sleep before my head cleared from the scented elevator, I was still able for a few hours to have a decent sleep. After going from one place to another in search of a place that was not too stinky, so it had gotten late, and I expected I might get NO sleep, so Thank you
