“When we had checked in I had informed the front desk...”

When we had checked in I had informed the front desk personnel that we had 2 small kenneled dogs with us. We were informed at this time that there would be an additional charge for the dogs in the room to which we have no issue with. We have stayed in the hotel several times for this reason of allowing dogs. When we went check out in the morning, we were confronted by the front desk clerk basically alleging that they had not been informed that we had dogs staying in the room with us. I informed the clerk that i had spoken with the clerks the day before regarding the dogs when we checked in as well as we had walked through the front doors with the dogs on leashes as well as taking themout for walks again past the front desk with the clerks seeing the dogs. The clerk still seemed upset and then again informed us that there is a charge for the dogs in the hotel, to which I again stated that I knew there is a charge for the dogs. I did not argue the charge or try to negotiate a reduction for the dogs. It is not my fault if the clerks upon check in did not complete the paperwork properly regarding the dogs. The cleaning staff informed the clerk that we had dogs as they were in the hallway when i had taken the dogs out for a walk in the morning of check out. The clerk did not call up to the room to question about the dogs but rather than become confrontative with me in front of other hotel guests walking through the lobby as if we were trying to conceal the dogs in order to save the money. We take our dogs with us on all of our trips & inform all hotels that we have dogs at check in & are prepared to pay the additional charges.
