“unacceptable hotel”

The location of the hotel was good.When I drove up in front of the hotel, I was not able to use the drive way because two Ramada vans were parked there and there were two cars parked there as well. I thought perhaps the two cars parked there were other guests checking in. But when I went to the front desk, I was the only person checking in. Not sure if this is the typical practice to block the driveway for guests and have them park on the street to check-in.The room was dark, even after turning on all of the lights. The lights only had one light setting. I was on a business trip and planned to work for several hours in my room that night. The lack of lighting made it difficult.The desk chair would not stay at the height that i had set it at. Over the hours that I worked, it slowly lowered itself down and had to keep resetting the height.In the morning, I closed the bathroom door to take my shower and there was an used towel hanging on the back of the door. It was apparant that it had been there awhile. It was too late for me to switch rooms that early in the morning, take a shower and then go to my work location at 6:30am.When I turned on the shower, I could see mildrew in the grout of the tub - this was present in several areas of the tub/tile. Again, I had no choice but to use the facility so that I was not late to my morning meeting.In the morning while I was getting ready, I had the tv on in the room. There were several stations where the tv made a humming noise. When I went to checkout, there were two people at the front desk. They asked me how my stay was and I told them there were several issues and that I wrote it down on my bill. They took a copy of my bill but did not even ask me what the issues were nor did they read the issues that I had written down.The room needs some improvement such as updating the t.v. and the door to the hotel room had pieces of wood or particle board torn off. If you need pictures of the mildew in the bathroom or of the used towel hanging on the door, I would be happy to send those to you.If there was a complimentary breakfast, I was not informed of such.Overall, the accommodations and service were unacceptable. I will not use the hotel again.
