“HEAT! HEAT! HEAT!”

I'm sorry to say, but this trip's stay at Ramada was not pleasant at all. We travel alot, we do Competition BBQ and alot of our family follows. We were in Levettown, PA this time and it was HOT, around 95 degrees. The boys stayed at the sight but the girls and kids stayed at the RAMADA. We got there around 7:00 or 7:15 PM. It was still hot out but not as hot as it was in the hotel. We checked in, the lobby was ok, we got 2 rooms on the second floor, both were supposed to be 2 Queens. We did have reseverations before hand. The one room was Queen the other was not and they had no more queen rooms. OK, we took the 1 King , they had no elevator, the halls and stairwells were 95 or more degrees, we had one Mon-mom with a bad hip and one grandmom with COPD. We made it to the second floor via stairs, with luggage in hand, when we got to the room we were soaked with sweat, knowing we were getting to air conditioning , BUT NO!!! The rooms were sweltering, OMG Grandmom almost passed out and Mom-mom couldn't even sit to catch her breath, she stood by a 6" window opening to breath. We all had a hard time in the heat of the room. We tried to get another room on the first floor they had none. We were told the hotel was not allowed to have an elevator by law. Shouldn't we know this when we make our reseveration? Also that the air conditioning and lights turn themselves off when no movement in the room for 1 hour. Well we left the room for over an hour to get some relief from the heat in the room and when we returned the air and light were still on. We have stayed at other Ramadas before and N E V E R had this kind of service. Sorry Ramada, this is our last stay at Ramada, along with alot of our family and friends. Alot of the BBQ Teams stayed also and were very unhappy with the service, SO NOT RAMADA STYLE! I'm sure our stay will not be in one of your Hotels next time. And by the way, when I checked out, I stood at the counter for 22 minutes because the repesenative charged the wrong credit card and the wrong amount and could not figure had to correct his mistake.
