“Lies, deception and other atrocities”

The Lancaster Ramada was one of the worst hotel experiences in our extensive travelling history. Upon entering, we realized that the luggage carts were of no use, for our room was not accessible by elevator, nor were there ramps. The indoor pool was green (filter off), the little pub/eatery was closed; the continental breakfast was sparse and nearly inedible. The room we were given was half empty. For the two of us there was one chair, a desk and two beds. There was NO refrigerator or microwave, unlike the advertisement. There were two exposed electrical outlets in the empty area, breaking the codes required for occupancy. We had a lamp with no light bulbs. And to top it off, the toilet in our room ran consistently every ten minutes.When we attempted to speak with the Manager of this franchised hotel, we were instead redirected to the "Sales Agent" who attempted to justify all of the errancies of the hotel, even stating that the filters were running despite the lack of water flow or movement. She 'assured' us that things would be taken care of. She did absolutely nothing. Due to the efforts of a wonderful front desk clerk, we were able to acquire the table and chairs as well as a refrigerator at no additional cost. However, during the course of our stay, none of the other issues were addressed or repaired, except for a 'compensation' of half off one night's stay. The third day of our stay we received NO housekeeping, returning to an unmade bed, wet towels and no toiletries.We did discover two days later that the supposed "Sales Agent" was the manager of the establishment- she was lying to us the entire time. When we spoke with her again, instead of asking what she could do, she volunteered to check us out. Assuredly, we will never stay there again.Side note: we noticed on our bill that we were rewarded NO Wyndham rewards for this visit. For what we had to deal with, we should have received quadruple points!
