We were disappointed at the horrible condition of the hotel. The walls were peeling away from each other, the ceiling was coming down. In our room there was a 1/2 inch drop off when we walked near the window. Not sure if the floor was caving in or if it had just been badly repaired. The bathrooms were dirty. Outside one of the rooms on the balcony, the bricks were breaking apart and falling. We avoided the balcony for fear we would be hit by debris. In one of the hallways, the ceiling tiles were moved and water dripping -- it was not raining nor near an exterior area. it was between floors. there was not a bucket or anything collecting the dirty water, or signs indicating such. I can only assume it was dirty water from a used shower or toilet above. The smell of the hotel was musty and dirty. There were 12 of us and we all had the same complaints. The staff was awesome. Very personable and welcoming with the exception of 1 overnight person. I believe his name may have been John. Disappointed that there was a $5 cover charge for guests to get into one of the lounges. We went to the other lounge instead. I will NOT stay at this hotel again and was totally disappointed in the condition. I have stayed at other ramada's and they were in much much better condition. Since I made the reservations for the 4 rooms, I felt bad that it was in such horrible conditions. Also, in doing research, on one website, it said that there were hot tubs in some of the rooms. There was NOT even a hot tub in the whole hotel. The indoor swimming pool was warm, but dirty. I would not go in it as well. Totally disappointed in Ramada at the shape of this facility. Doesn't any one check them for compliance ? I know one of the people I was with has called and made contact with the Lancaster town as this was not a safe hotel to be in.
