“A very disturbing environment”

We moved into a room that had a toilet that wouldn't flush. We didn't want to repack and change rooms so we waited 2 hours for the maintenance staff to come. It couldn't be fixed that day so we had to move anyway.The new room was smaller, had no balcony, had a small analog TV circa. 1983, was in a wing that smelled like sewage, had a phone without a template, an internet signal that was extremely weak, and didn't have a Do Not Disturb sign - we made our own.The next day we asked if there would be compensation for our frustrations. The clerk, looking surprised that we were asking, said they would talk to the manager. We check that evening - no response.The second morning we found that our keys were deactivated. We went to the front desk, had the keys reset, and asked again about compensation. The clerk contacted the manager and called us to say that we would receive a 25% reimbursement for our stay. That was better than nothing.We had a 3 night reservation and left on the second night. I won't stay there again and will warn others to check before the book at a Ramada hotel.
