“Clean rooms, so-so budget overnighter”

  , Huntington
This hotel is the style and quality of the late-60's early 70's and I would bet was built to be a Holiday Inn. Some of the public areas are not in good condition now. Obviously, the hotel had the typical Dryvit refurbishment some time ago in the attempt to freshen the look. The outdoor walkways to the rooms were enclosed in glass, presumably in that re-do. We were there with a evenings in the 80's and, as there is no functioning air conditioning in those halls, thus there is a greenhouse effect. It was very, very hot in those halls. We had two rooms and they were pretty clean, maybe a 8 on a 10 scale. Beds were comfortable. We were expecting a lot more from a Ramada though, based on prior experience, so were surprised to see that a hotel in this general condition flying that flag. Rate is low so the place is suitable for a quick sleep and go, but just expect the low-end of the Ramada chain unless there is a significant change at this property.
