“We slept and there were no roches, so that's something.”

The pictures they put online aren't really accurate. They claim they're going through a remodel. I think part of it may be done, but I'm not sure, so that doesn't say much for the "update" -- I believe they're updating from early 1980's to late 1980's. the rooms are small for two queen beds. If you have your family squished in one room, be prepared for no room for your luggage. There is no closet, just a rack in the open next to the bathroom. The bathrooms have the shampoo and such in the shower -- ours had something floating in the shampoo, so we used our own shampoo and the little bottles they left in the room. It takes forever to get towels and they don't replace the same number you had (we had 5 people in the room, they left us with 3 towels even when we left all the towels on the floor). It takes about an hour to get the towels to your room -- the guy that brings them is also the shuttle driver. About the pool room -- the pool picture is accurate as far as there is a kiddy pool (2 ft) and a large pool (5ft to 9ft... yeah, 9 ft). You have to either go outside to get to it, or make a loop around the entire building (depending on where your room is) to get to it. It's a HUGE room and they seem to use a LOT of it for storage (the hotel feels like it's in the last stages before closing it's doors). The carpet and natatorium area really just need to be cleaned and updated. The restaurant and lounge -- not that I was looking forward to either, but we were there during the 2013 forest fires and it was raining ash outside, so we didn't really want to leave the building. Too bad-those are gone. Breakfast is EXACTLY what they say they have-"and much more" in the description doesn't actually exist. Microwaved sausage, hard boiled eggs, plastic wrapped pastries and cereal is it. The laundry-they have one washer and one dryer- $1 each, though the dryer takes a cycle to "warm up" so that cost us $2. They aren't the cleanest things, but they did the job getting our clothes clean, so not too many complains; a line does form, so stay with your clothes so they don't end up on the icky floor. The staff is somewhat helpful but a little creepy. Also, if you want to leave a note for them to do something in your room (we made a palette of the comforters for the 5 person and we wanted the a palette to remain intact and not get put back on the beds) I recommend getting a translate app for your phone. That said, we spent 4 nights there and lived, so it's not too bad.
