“No Interest in Customer Service”

This is an older hotel and you can tell by the rooms offered. The first room I was booked into, was away from our group and smelled of smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. They said they did their best to have all of us on the same floor, I don't believe it. When trying to rectify the situation one staff member said they could move me, if I change room types, but then the "manager" said they had nothing. Another member of our group had mold problems in their room, and just kept getting offered even dirtier rooms and the finally offered a move to "a better hotel" but this would be away from our team. They were then offered a discount on parking, however when checking out the manager on duty said he did not have the authority to do so. Thank goodness our manager did a good job in getting a favorable group rate compared to the prices they were actually charging, but even then the hotel was still overpriced for the quality of the rooms.
