“Given the chance, I would not stay at this hotel again. I...”

Given the chance, I would not stay at this hotel again. I reserved 2 rooms and requested they be adjoining, or at least close to one another. When the other half of my party checked in, they were assured that we would be in the room next to theirs (they did not have adjoining rooms). When I arrived, we were given a room on a different floor. Eventually we were given a room next to theirs. I'm not sure how this room materialized after being told that the whole floor was taken. It was only after several complaints that it became available. The reservation line was blamed for not relaying the proper information to the hotel staff and it was stated that they are unable to see any of the details about any one reservation. If true, I find this quite unacceptable from a customer service standpoint.
