“Never again”

One year ago we stayed at the same motel and in the same room for the same reason. Room 107. This is an annual trip for a large group of square dancers. We have a challenge dance weekend at the Fairgrounds. Last year the accommodations were very good. This year I was disappointed with the service and condition of the room. When we stay for only two days we always elect for no room service and instead get clean towels and coffee from the office. We were informed there were no clean towels for us and they were out of coffee. After much complaining on my part, two towels were found. I was appalled. Further the drapes would not close completely. When I attempted to check-out Sunday morning, there was only one person working and there was a billing problem with a weekly guest who was moving to another motel. After waiting for an extended and unacceptable time for resolution to problems of others, I put the electronic keys on the counter and started to leave. Only then was my presence acknowledged. I discussed the situation with our friends on both sides of our room and they related similar experiences.Next year we will stay elsewhere for our weekend.
