“Very comfortable-an enjoyable stay”

  , Urbana
We stayed at the Ramada during the weekend of a good friend's wedding, and since we celebrated our wedding anniversary the weekend before, we decided to get the Jacuzzi room. I researched rooms in the area, and chose this based on location, and the Jacuzzi tub. The room looked just like the picture on the website. There was plenty of hot water, and the King Size bed was really too big for my wife and I. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi, and slept very well. While I will agree with the reviews that this hotel is looking very dated, this did not affect our stay. There is a pool here, but it is filled over with dirt, so unless you are a family of earthworms, there are no options to swim. We did not check out the breakfast, so I can't speak on that topic. I will say that the room was clean, plenty of towels, and I particularly liked the lego style soap bars. I only dealt with two members of the staff at the front desk, and they were very nice. There was however a menacing looking woman pushing a cart down the hall when I loaded up the luggage in the morning. It looked like she was there to gather up the linens, but she looked like she lives under a bridge and eats children. Fortunately, we left the kids at home. All told, we enjoyed our stay, and I think other travelers will enjoy it as well. If you have earthworms, they can enjoy the pool, and if you have small children, I recommend hiding them under the bed or putting up the DO NOT DISTURB sign in the early hours when they change the linens. I wouldn't put my faith in garlic to protect them.I give this four out of five stars. We had a great stay, and didn't lose any children.
