“The Forgotten Room Saga”

We returned to our room after a day out enjoying Bismarck and walked into a room that had not been made up. It was 10 pm and this was not something we would have ever expected from a Ramada. The desk clerk was apologetic, offered us towels, and left a note for the manager. The next morning we left a card on the bed asking to have the bedding changed. When we returned an hour later the bed was made but not changed. when I talked to one of the floor staff, I was told people often leave the cards on the bed because they have forgotten them. I said that we left ours because it was the hotel policy to request a change in that manner. Her response was, "So, do you want your bedding changed?'' We found most of the staff quite unwelcoming and many had an edgy attitude. I was surprised when I finally met the manager and she was apologetic and instantly offered to refund the cost of that night. She, at least, knew that was the correct thing to do. That was the bright light at the end of the forgotten/ignored room road.
