“OBX Ramada - brief stay, great service, small issues”

We stayed at the Ramada in Nags Head during the weekend of the OBX marathon, clearly a busy weekend in that area.We checked in early and a room was ready. Unfortunately it was a room that was right next to the elevator, snack machine and the entrance to the ballroom that was used for the pre-marathon pasta dinner. it would have been far too noisy for us. The desk easily accomodated a room change.The hotel restaurant, Peppercorns, was ordinary with a limited menu, but our waiter John was extraordinary and he tried his hardest to make everything perfect. We had a few minor complaints about the room: the shower spray was very week and the hot water was tepid rather than hot. Otherwise our stay was fine and the service was great.
