“We arrived one hour early (2:00pm) and was told our room...”

We arrived one hour early (2:00pm) and was told our room was not ready. I asked if there was any room available and told ours had not been cleaned yet. We had hauled in all of our bags and needed to put them back in the car, only to try and find something to do for an hour. Check out is 11:00 and it was a Saturday morning, so there should have been no reason why the room was not ready for us. The man at the front desk was rude to top it all off. When we returned to the hotel, the staff member went back upstairs to check on our room. Once we got up to the room we checked the bedding, which was dirty, and the staff came and changed it for us. We could also tell the floor had not been vacuumed. We could tell that mostly they had just sprayed air freshener to make it seem like they cleaned the room. I have stayed in many hotels and I have never once had a problem with checking in early. I had just returned from a stay at another Ramada property in Anaheim and was very happy with it (it was our second stay with them). It is unfortunate that a stay at a property in my own province, has made me write this poor review.
