“Not what was expected!”

  , Lexington
I was disappointed from the moment she told me they did not offer the free continental breakfast they advertised on the site and I was told when booked after asking. She said "breakfast was not free and she don't know why it's advertised that way that she would look in to that." The lobby smelled great but the halls were awful. Room smell was tolerable (we were already there and pressed for time for our event we were there to attend). After walking all over the hotel looking for our room, we finally found it and the key did not work. Luckily housekeeping was in the hall and after verifying my identity she accessed the room for us. A guy downstairs did take care of that for us as we were leaving for a bite to eat. My boyfriend was so disgusted with the smell of the hotel he didn't want to eat there. Upon our return that night, we stopped at the front desk to request extra wash cloths and towels and the clerk agitatedly said "we don't have any more wash cloths, we're out of them. I may can spare you about 1 and some pool towels! You want that?" My boyfriend immediately stepped in to answer her "yes". Our overall trip was a blast and it's a GREAT thing we spent most of our awakening hours outside of this hotel. I'll make sure to keep scrolling past this one next time!
