“Old and tired and noisy and terrible”

  , Happy Jack
Our stay at the Ramada West in Flagstaff was anything but enjoyable. The staff could hardly speak English and trying to report a problem was greeted with a "Deer in the Headlights Look". The toilet seat was held on by a single bolt, the lamp shades were worn with cracks and holes, the shower curtain had a hole in it, the TV remote did not work properly, the water in the sink was reversed (cold where hot and hot where cold). The noise level from the freeway and the other guests keeps you awake. The beds where lumpy. But the worst thing that happened was the bathroom ceiling that began leaking during the morning of our departure and made the bathroom inoperative causing no shower, or bathroom usage at all unless you wanted to sit under a waterfall. The only place that looked decent was the pool area. The breakfast was something that military troops eat on the battlefield with dry processed scrambled eggs in round pancake like shapes and as thin as the pancake. The waffle maker made a cupcake size waffle, the cereals where all high sugar, and the coffee was stale. Overall the experience was Terrible.
