“OK if you travel with dogs”

My husband and I were traveling with our two dogs and this hotel was our best option in Fishkill according to the website we used. The exterior security doors where all broken- anyone from the outside could have entered the hotel. The room we were given was a handicap accessible room. The bathroom had a big shower bench that took up most of the floor space and there was no counter at all. None. No room for any toiletries. The back of the toilet had a box of tissues balanced on it. No fridge, No microwave- not promised, but a real convenience that is missed. The TP roller was a tight reach behind to the left between sink and toilet and a hand towel was hung in front of it. The sheets were in poor condition, the pillow cases were pilled. If we had not had dogs with us, I would not have slept there. Next time we are in Fishkill, we will try another hotel. The fee for each dog is 25.00, so with two dogs we paid 50.00 extra and had a pretty poor room. Our dogs couldn't have done any damage equal to what had already been done to the room. This hotel is not laid out well. Long, poorly marked hallways lead you though beat-on hallways; over stained and faded carpets past banquet rooms that look like they have seen better days. The reception desk and lobby are misleading. The front desk staff is aloof and not forward with helpful information. I got the feeling that they just wanted me to leave. The continental breakfast was decent. The hostess/server was very nice and attentive. Her kindness was the single redeeming factor of our stay. Wi-Fi was non existent.
