“Uncomfotable Stay”

  , London, Paris, Venice
The hotel staff is amazing! Super friendly and willing to help. So, A++ in that area. I was there for a conference with lots of children and the staff was very accommodating. Even getting a balloon off the ceiling once with a smile. That was really amazing.Unfortunately, the bed was very uncomfortable. It was hard and had a dip in the middle of it from too much wear. The pillows were hard and stiff as well; no fluff or softness to them at all. For an area that gets into the teens at night there are not sufficient blankets in the room. Yes, there is a heater, but who wants to keep it on in an area with such low humidity. It was a very uncomfortable sleep that left me stiff and with a sore neck for my entire stay. I'm getting a massage today to help with the kinks that I still have two days later. There also isn't very good noise control in the room. Every time the person above me opened the sliding glass door it sounded like they were moving a concrete palette across the floor. The first night I was there I called and complained because I actually thought that the people upstairs were moving furniture. In the morning I realized they were going in and out the sliding glass door to smoke. The last night I was there I asked to move rooms when the noise from above me started at 11:30. The staff was very accommodating and apologetic and helped me carry my bags upstairs to my new room.If the conference is held at this hotel again I would stay there, making sure to bring my own pillows, blankets, earplugs, and ask for a room on the top floor.
