“Location is GREAT”

I selected this location to be near Six Flags. To my surprise it was also near Point Pleasant beach so I was thrilled. We were able to make it a beach and amusement park holiday weekend. The room was really up to date and decorated nicely. I was pleased with the beds and the room. Clean, neat, and orderly. Ample towels was a plus! The room temperature was awful and that made the room uncomfortable. The AC unit was not working properly. A maintenance man came to repair it but could not so we had to be moved to another room. Inconvenient but the only option they really had at that time. The second room was just as nice and was VERY cold and we were very pleased! The Key Card for the room stopped working on the first room so it had to be replaced 3 times. We didn't have any issues with the 2nd room. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I was not fond of the food at the All You Can Eat Breakfast Buffet. The price was reasonable, but the food taste was not so good. If you don't drink hot coffee or tea, your only alternative was high sugar juice. There was plenty of food, the restaurant area was really nice, but the food was blah. The eggs were cold and runny, the sausage was overcooked, and making waffles was difficult. I don't think the hot iron was working properly. We ate though and moved on but I would not stop again for the breakfast. McDonald's is across the street and the hot cakes and sausage there are more appealing if that gives you an idea of the breakfast quality. The high speed internet was excellent. I was very pleased with it and it didn't keep going in and out like it does at many hotels. Overall, this is a nice place to stay. If you stay in a suite, you will be in a building in the back which is fine but there are no elevators. If you cannot walk up a flight of stairs or are handicap, these will not be for you. You will have to request a room in the hotel. The showers were hot, the tubs were large, the place was clean, and the ambiance was nice. There is no overhead lighting in the bedrooms so that makes it a little harder to see - but I would definitely stay here again.
