“Clean but dated”

  , Maple Ridge
We had not been in Reno since the very early 80's so had no idea where to stay. Booked the Ramada online. The reviews looked okay and the price was not too bad. Reviews were right. Not the best part of town; only time I felt I had to bring my laptop into the room instead of leaving it out in the car. The lobby looked nice, several comfortable chairs and sofas but the furniture was pretty worn. They did have a computer station set up in the lobby. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. We needed a handicap-accessible bathroom. The shower qualified, but just barely. The hand-held spray was pretty worn and could not be adjusted in height. Had to use most of the towels to absorb the water that flowed out of the shower. (Maybe a 1/2" lip - something a chair could roll over- would have been helpful.) The online description said there was a casino on site. Correct but I have seen better slot machine selections in grocery stores in Nevada. We did not try the restaurant in the hotel or the coffee shop in the casino but the coffee shop looked busy and had a $2 pancake breakfast and a $4 fried chicken dinner.
