“Nice hotel, but the details are missing”

While hotel is nice, I was a bit disappointed with this visit for a few reasons. The rooms do not have microwaves, but there is a public microwave available in the lobby. Unfortunately, it was caked and crusted from a previous chili that had obviously exploded some time ago. I monitored the microwave over the 3 days and never was it cleaned. Additionally, I looked under the bed (I always do to make sure it's not too dirty). I found a plaque that states,"yes, we've cleaned here also." Unfortunately, there were candy wrappers next to the plaque and we hadn't had any candy! The signs remain there, but no one had cleaned. That was disappointing. Additionally I asked the front desk staff if a wine cork might be available. I felt like I was intruding on 3 staff members personal conversation. Rather than offering to help me locate one, I was told to simply go ask the restaurant if they'd open the bottle of wine. I feel that customer service is NOT a focus at all for Ramada. They could use some training on customer service. And if you have kids and plan to use the pool... Be aware that there is no bathroom near the pool area. A small child may announce they need the bathroom and the parent will have to quickly dry off and race the child to their room. Not a good design!! I witnessed that one and felt for the parent.
