“Why didn't I stay here before?”

  , Beijing
Summer in the City .....and time to change hotel in UB. The Ramada had me at the toothbrush in the bathroom! I always stay in the Blue Sky as it is convenient, especially in the winter, but a 5 star (???!!) hotel couldn't even provide a toothbrush. So imagine the excitement when I saw it at the Ramada ;)I was upgraded to a deluxe room and the room was nicely decorated - different kind of plugs were pre-installed in the wall sockets. [--] something you should have provided!! OK - it is older than the [--] but it had all what a normal international hotel would have. Some minor points: - the door in my room closed but still there was some space to move so when ever someone smashed his door it would move a bit. Luckily I was at the end of the corridor so it didn't happen that much. - breakfast as mentioned before had many items which were from previous dinner buffet (spaghetti, beef bulgogi etc), which is a bit strange.Had dinner at the all day dining restaurant as well and it was good, service was friendly.Check-in and out were fast and in a friendly matter. The question I asked myself throughout the trip - Why didn't I stay here before? With so many new hotels coming in UB - everyone needs to step up their game. It will be a fiere competition when the Shangri-La and the Hilton, Best Western (July 2013) will start their operations!
