“Ramada Ulaanbaatar”

  , London
Restaurant has splendid views over the city and head chef has been featured on asian tv; food is very nice, particularly the breakfasts which feature cuisines of many countries. The 17th floor is great for a coffee and cocktail in the evening, though service can be a bit slowBeds are large and comfortable and rooms are of a good size. Only two lifts for a 17 story building is a bit limiting, especially when one does not work.Hot water is not always available; cold showers are really not acceptable for a hotel of this class, but twice during a 10 day stay, the water was cold. The area outside the hotel, like much of the city, is unevenly paved, so care needs taking when walking, especially after rain. The staff are always helpful and friendly and willing to do that bit extra e.g. the 17th floor is only open in the evenings, but a request to visit during the day to see the view in daylight was organised quickly once the request was made. The room lighting was a bit dim, but a request for an extra lamp was actioned very quickly
