“Mixed bag of service and cleanliness”

When we arrived and got to the room we found hair and a live spider in our bed. We went to the front desk to let them know we needed the bed stripped and re-made. There were no available rooms. We went to the restuarant and the food was great! but the service was very slow. Our room had nt been taken care of, when I called the operator and front desk no answer. I had to finally call an outside line and call in to get any help. I spoke with the manager and they sent someone up right away. The gentleman was very apologetic and helpful. The manager came and provided us with vouchers for free breakfast and discount. Through out the weekend we had excellent service from housekeeping and other service staff but the restuarant service was still lacking. I believe the issue is an organization trying to do too much with too few of people. In every instance it was not for a lack of effort, just the ability to keep up with the demand.
