“Low Budget”

I checked into the hotel with my teenage son on a visit to Busch Stadium. We arrived at the hotel at approximately 12:30 in hopes to check in a bit early. Unfortunately as it was the 4th of July weekend and we were unable too. (understandable). We came back around 4:30 to check in and all went smooth until we entered the room. The hotel put us in a handicap room with one double bed, the bathroom door had a very large hole in the middle of the door and a few lights in the room did not work. Before we unpacked I went down to the front desk and waited in a very large line to speak to someone about moving us to a room with two beds or at the least a queen or king as one double was way too small for to males. I was told by the front desk person that she could not move us as they had no rooms available and expected to be sold out. I explained all of the problems in the room in particular the bed size and she directed me to the manager. After waiting to speak to the manager, he too said we could not be moved and since we booked the room via Hotwire, we get the room that is assigned to us. Not further compensation or adjustments were made except we could check in the morning to see if we could be relocated for the remaining two days of our stay for which we did. Maintenance came right up and fixed the lights. Negatives: Large hole in bathroom door, several pictures missing from the wall with the hangers still there, hallway floor were filthy and littered with debris the entire time, personel was unaccomodating and unempathetic, elevators were continously out of order. Positives: LOCATION-walking distance to Busch Stadium and the Gateway Arch.
