“Failed Customer Service”

This is a decent hotel, if you can get an attractive rate through hotwire or priceline. But, not worth the published rate. I have stayed a few times here and have had decent stays, however, during my last stay I believe the staff failed to offer excellent customer service. At about 4am Sunday morning, some unruly guests in the hall were pounding on a door attempting to wake their friend in the room. Their friend was unable to be awakened and, fearing for his/her safety, the unruly guests called maintenance and demanded that the room be opened. So, for a few hours the maintenance person attempted to crowbar the door open. If there was real concern for the safety of the person in the room, then why wasn't the fire department called. I'm sure they could have breached the room in an instant. Obviously, I did not get much sleep. When I reported this to the staff at checkout, they didn't offer even an apology. I mean, comp my parking or an $8.50 breakfast buffet.........something !! Also, the procedure for validating your parking is a joke. They will validate your parking ticket with a stamp, but this is only good if an attendant is on duty. Otherwise, you need a token to activate the gate at the exit. Well, many people stick around on Sundays to watch the Cardinal game. The attendant apparently is off duty after the game. So, you have to wind up going back into the lobby and exchanging your stamped parking ticket for a token. Of course, you realize this after you have pulled your car to the exit only to find out that you cannot leave. Why not just give all parking guests a token IN THE FIRST PLACE !!!
