“Convenient but Average”

  , Bentonville
Convenient hotel located to explore the St. Louis downtown area, Zoo, Science Center, etc. Some of these amenities, including lot of restaurants and shopping locations, are a few blocks away. In overall, it was a good stay and we will definitely consider this hotel for the future.A few things to consider: 1. The hotel unload area is backwards the traffic direction. I found this odd.2. Lobby is very modern, however rooms are old. They have CRT TV's (older type) that make a terrible beep sound in low volumes which you need late night not to disturb the next door neighbors due the thin walls. I did experience the shower rod issue reported by others, but it was fixed immediately upon being reported.3. Rooms with fridge are available at extra cost per night.4. Microwaves are available in the first floor for common use. Be prepared to small walk for a late snack.5. Indoor pool was small but ok. There are plenty space (tables) around the pool for socializing.5. Business Center computers do not have antivirus installed, and laser printer may be an experience to deal with. However, I was able to complete my transaction with the assistance of the staff manager which found an alternative to the printer problem.6. Breakfast is not included but they do have an indoor hotel and bar.7. Parking is not included. They have an arrangement with a parking lot 1 block away but they dont have security in the nights, so you are on your own. I had seen people complaining about the hotel parking cost which is $15 a day vs. $10 a day if you pay directly to the parking staff. The difference is that the $15 includes unlimited in and out privileges for the whole day vs. $1 per 30 minutes if you work with the lot directly. You do the math and see whats best for you.8. It takes about 25-30 minutes to get to Six Flags.9. Some of the door locks (e.g. gym or Business Center) are broken. Also, some of the gym devices are broken as well. Both can be repaired easily.10. Staff is friendly and will take care of any immediate needs. One big advise: If you book this hotel for the 4th of July events you may want to walk instead of driving your car. Police will close all streets heading the hotel direction making it nearly impossible to reach. Took us 1:45 to reach the hotel, finally going to Illinois then backwards, and unfortunately we saw some questionable activities on the streets during this detour.
