“Worst hotel stay EVER”

I called ahead to make sure the pool would be open late for New Years and that there would be the DJ like last year, the lady told me that it was all a go like last year and I proceeded with booking. Mind you I did this in advance as a Christmas gift! I arrived at 3:30 to check in and noticed that the light in the bathroom was out. Reported it to the from desk and never did the maintenance man show up like they said he would. Being there with a my boys and their friends for New Years we opted for the poolside room to make it easier on us. Yet when our door was broken to the pool it then served us no purpose at all. Finally at 8 the front desk called and said they would give us a discounted rate, yet the issues I reported were not resolved. To top it all off they did not have the DJ like they stated that they would have. Pretty much I was stuck with a 65 dollar bill to camp. The room smelled, we were unable to take showers because it was pitch dark (meaning housekeeping must not have cleaned our bathroom very well to begin with to not have noticed) and our door to the pool was never fixed. I had a group of disappointed kids who usually love staying here to swim. Yet taking that when an issue did arise the lack of service we were given, and the bill I was still stuck paying, we will not be staying here again. When a group of 8 year old boys say that the hotel "sucks" then it must really have been a poor experience!
