“Complete dissatisfaction”

First the positive: The breakfast was superb: abundant choices, cooked and presented well. The attendants/ staff were attentive, helpful, polite, and professional. Can't say enough good about your kitchen & dining staff!However, the clerks behind the counter were less than friendly and professional when they greeted me. They did not tell me about the swimming pool being out of commission at my time of check-in either. They did not direct me to where the Cafe was for breakfast in the morning. They were not attentive or helpful in any way.When I went to collect our 5 water slide/pool passes for that day, I was informed that the pool was under maintanence and, therefore closed! I expressed disappointment and frustration at not being notified of this. The clerk said everyone was called. I told her I was to called. She argued with me and repeated everyone had been called. Only when I asked whether she was calling me a liar did she back down and offer a feeble, mumbled apology. This was about the worst customer service I have experienced in a long time!When I asked about some sort of compensation, she said the passes were complimentary. Here is a 16 (?) year old girl telling me they "were free anyway"! Hopefully I don't need to tell you they are *not* free. Nothing is free. The cost was built in to the hotel....but we did not get our money's worth. Complimentary tickets, without expiration, should have been offered to me. But since it was not, I am asking for them. The only thing that was offered was to cancel my hotel room for that night and I could go book somewhere else. Suggestions were made as to hotels with pools: Stoney Creek and The Drury Inn, but that was it.I hope you value customer service and satisfaction more like your kitchen staff and less like your clerical staff.
