“Ehhhhh - make sure you do not have a pool view room”

Nice hotel, was put in a room that over looked the pool. Sounded like a good idea, until we got back to the room at 8pm that night and the pool was full of kids. Our room sounded like it was in a school gym, the echo was horrible. Noise didn't drown out until about 11:30 at night. We did change rooms, which was quieter but was told we were moved to an upgraded room but they waived the price difference, weird, the "upgraded" room was smaller and wasn't as nice. 3 times during our 2 night stay our keys stopped working and had to go back to the front desk to have them reprogrammed, WTF?!?!? We were told that if you check-in with a CC or cell phone that sometimes that can happen, still WTF???!? We were given a free drink coupon for the bar in the hotel, Fire & Ice, we went to take advantage of this, to see a sign saying "closed for maintenance", wonder why they are giving away free drink coupons for a bar that isn't open. The shower had a slow drain..... a 5 minute shower and I was in shin deep water. I do plan on going back to Springfield but I will choose another hotel, this place left me with a bad experience and I will be spending my money with another hotel chain. There was one really really cool thing about both rooms, there was a light switch to control the light by the door next to the bed, I thought that was neat, but not neat enough to get me to come back.
