“It did the job adequately...”

The rooms were not recently remodeled, but also were not entirely outdated -- I would suspect they will do an interior design refresh in the next couple of years before it does cross the line to "Way outdated" territory. I had a single king, but had friends staying in a couple of different Double rooms -- the furniture/accomodations were slightly different in each room, symptomatic of replacing items as they break with mismatched ones. My room faced the lake, which only became notable at 7am when the geese started making noise, and the small black birds started pecking at my window. The room was adequately clean, and the housekeeping service was very thorough. The entry way and lobby are laid out somewhat confusingly, and many of the common areas (especially stairwells) are barely "finished", with lots of visible concrete, wear and tear / paint on floors, etc. The price, however, corresponded to what I got out of my stay - it was a good value, and I was not in town to lounge in my room, I had a full schedule and was only back there to sleep for the evening. If I wanted a "retreat" experience, I'd go for a much nicer hotel so that I had a very comfortable stay, and so that the few shortcomings I noticed (weird, low-mounted showerhead, tiny wall-hungTV, noisy birds outside, marijuana odor in hallway, etc.) were less of an issue. However, for my needs, this Ramada did the job and didn't completely empty my wallet. Would return here without hesitation if I do wind up on more business in this neighborhood of KC.
