“All I was really looking for was a place to lay my head and...”

  , San Jose
All I was really looking for was a place to lay my head and sleep at night, so the room itself was fine. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space for me to spread out in the main part of the room. The bathroom door situation could have been better in my room; the convex shower rod made it impossible for the bathroom door to stay open far enough to use the toilet. Sure, I could go into the bathroom and close the door every time, but I was staying in the room alone so I shouldn't have to do this. The only real 'problem' I had at all was with the location. It wasn't a bad part of town or anything like that, but the hotel is on a small lot... which means insufficient space for all guests to park their cars at night. After circling through the parking area, including the two 'overflow' areas, it was clear that there was no place for my vehicle. At nearly 2 AM I ended up finally finding street parking a couple blocks away... and that's when the neighborhood doesn't seem quite so pleasant...
